One of the latest features to be added to myBuick is the integration of the Buick Smart Drivers service, a system designed to make information more accessible for drivers so that they can monitor and improve their driving habits. Available on new vehicles, including the latest 2019 Buick models at our Thomson area showroom, the integration of Buick Smart Driver services showcases the diverse ways that myBuick can have a big impact for many drivers.
A Wealth of Information in a Simple Format
Considering how we depend on our vehicles, it’s no surprise that there’s a lot that we should know about them. While knowing everything about your vehicle would require a lot of studying and research, Buick makes it easy to keep track of all of the information that matters most. With the addition of Buick Smart Driver services, drivers can use the myBuick app to access information via their smartphone, including:
- Total number of hard braking events
- Total number of hard acceleration events
- High-speed driving percentage
- Late-night driving percentage
- Total miles driven
- Average mpg and mph
- Tips on how to become a smarter driver
- Overall Smart Driver score
This switch makes it much easier to access the system, which first went online in a web-based format in 2016. As Steve Samolinski, senior manager of Buick Connected Services, notes: “People are using health, finance and even sleep monitoring apps to help improve their lifestyle and well-being. Bringing Buick Smart Driver services into the myBuick app can help our customers become more aware of their driving behaviors and improve as necessary.”
